On May 11, 2024, Khaos Crafts teamed up with artist BCVG and The Alley Gallery in downtown Pomona, California, for a one-of-a-kind community project!

Together, as a community we crocheted a colorful yarn bomb canopy to celebrate BCVG’s solo art show opening. For 10 months leading up to the event, participants gathered to crochet 12×12-inch squares that would become part of the installation.

This collaborative effort brought together 25+ makers from across Los Angeles area and even as far as Arizona. In the end, we stitched together more than 220 square feet of yarn — a true work of community creativity!

Projects like this remind us of the power of art to bring people together, spark conversation, and fill public spaces with joy.
